The Public Transport Authority of WA (PTA) announced on Friday that Olive Grove IT has been awarded a three-year contract, with options for a further two years, to supply IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management tools and accompanying professional services to help their teams manage the complex requirements for construction projects around the state.

Olive Grove IT has been working with PTA's Major Projects Division since late 2018, helping them implement IBM Engineering Requirements Management DOORS Next on Cloud, IBM's SaaS based requirements management solution, to allow projects within the department to manage their requirements in an effective manner. Olive Grove IT also rolled out IBM Engineering Lifecycle Optimization - Publishing (formerly known as IBM Rational Publishing Engine), which has enabled them to develop official document templates for automated document generation of contracts directly from their DOORS Next projects.

Over the past 18 months, Olive Grove IT has trained PTA staff, and has worked with senior team members to develop the processes and procedures that are used to:

• gather stakeholder input
• develop and publish contract documents
• manage contractor responses during the bid process
• capture the ongoing design, construction and V&V activities once the contract is awarded

As part of the ongoing support provided to PTA, Olive Grove IT also worked with PTA's contractors to help them access and navigate the PTA shared SaaS environment, and helped PTA set up the DOORS Next projects so that each contractor's responses and intellectual property were secure.
